The Keepers Arms nestles on the hillside just above the river Rother at Trotton Bridge on the A272 between Petersfield and Midhurst, as it has since 1640. It was originally the village inn with a "smithy" below. Now it is a comfortable, welcoming Sussex country pub where one may enjoy well kept real ales, a simple meal from our blackboard menu or indeed an elegant dinner in our restaurant which is open at lunchtime and in the evening seven days a week throughout the year.
Nick and Antonia have been running the Keepers since January 2007. It is now their home, and with the assistance of their long serving staff, Jerry, Georgiana and Miguel, you are sure of a warm and friendly welcome.
